Directions For Use: Dissolve one teaspoon of Superbuffer dKH in a glass of fresh water. Add directly to tank or sump for each 20-30 gallons of tank capacity each day until the desired pH and alkalinity (carbonate hardness or KH) are reached. Wait one hour to remeasure alkalinity, but wait 24 hours for pH to stabilize, before re-measuring (full pH increase and stabilization may take up to 48 hours). This product is designed for miniature reefs and fish only marine or brackish systems. A pH of 8.0 to 8.3 and an alkalinity of 3.5 to 5.5 meq/l (10 to 14 dKH) is recommended (reefs should maintain 2.9 to 4.0 meq/l or 8 to 11 dKH). After target pH and alkalinity are reached, use at two week intervals to maintain values. Use Kent Marine Essential Elements weekly to provide proper trace minerals. Kent Marine Zoe added to food will supply needed vitamins. In reef systems, use Kent Kalkwasser Mix, Concentrated Liquid Calcium or Turbo-Calcium, and Kent Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement to provide needed minerals for invertebrates. Tech-I Iodine Supplement will supply long lasting iodine for invertebrates. If you have trouble maintaining calcium or buffer level, check to see that the salt mix you are using has seawater level of magnesium (some popular newer salts have only half the level of magnesium necessary, resulting in low calcium solubility and poor buffering). Caution: Contains carbonate, bicarbonate, and borate salts. Do not taste, swallow, or breathe. If in eyes, flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. If ingested, drink water. Call a physician immediately. Contact with skin may cause irritation. Keep out of the reach of children.
