As required by U.S. EPA regulation, AlgaeQuel is not to be released into the sewer or environment. High water temperatures cause more rapid natural decay of dead algae which can cause fish distress. If fish are present in the water while treating with AlgaeQuel, clean excess dead algae as it accumulates. It is recommended to use AlgaeQuel before the water temperature exceeds 75 degrees Fahrenheit (=24 degrees centigrade). In ponds ensure that water is well aerated via waterfall, fountain or other method to prevent fish loss. Aeration must be continuous during use of AlgaeQuel.
