Avoid placing the thermometer directly near heating devices such as hot rocks and heat lamps. Remove the adhesive backing from the back of the thermometer and press firmly in the chosen location. If using two thermometers, place one near the warmest area where animals may bask. Place the second thermometer near the coolest area of the habitat.
