Unscrew battery cover and insert battery with battery identification (positive side) facing out.Screw battery cover back on tightly. If battery cover is not tightly screwed on, water may enter thermometer and cause failure.Place thermometer with suction cup inside aquarium.Replace battery as needed with button cell AG12 or LR43.
