The statue of Anubis portrays a dog that resembles the Ibizan Hound in outline as well as features.

Ibizan Hounds arrived on the Ibiza Island during the 8th century. At that time, they were used as hunters for small game and other purposes. Hannibal greatly favored these dogs, and he brought a few of them on his famed trip across the Alps.
