I've never heard of Sensible Choice...but I use Solid gold and am very happy with it. You don't feed as much as the cheaper foods so it comes out to be not super costly. I like the fact that there is less poo to pick up.
From what I've found so far it seems as if Sensible Choice is made by Royal Canin. I just wonder if there is any difference in the two or if it is just Royal Canin in a different bag and sold at a smaller price. I think Tucker liked the taste of the Royal Canin I just don't think he liked the texture. Does that sound wierd? It does to me. I just really think he liked the taste I just think there was something he didn't like about it. All I can come up with is texture. It did have a low protein though, which is what I need for him (less than 17%).
That does not sound wierd. My dogs would much prefer if I fed them something like kibbles and bits ( I don't) but they love the texture of food like that. I buy the chewy treats sometimes and you would think they were having steak and lobster!
I use the Solid Gold Holistique Blendz which has the protein at 18% and I add about 1 tablespoon of their canned to 1/4 cup of kibble. This keeps her protein levels down and she really seems to like the added flavor. It is just enough flavor and enough dry to keep her teeth clean. I also have just started the Seameal. Just a pinch for now...so that she doesn't get an upset tummy. Added: I have a booklet with all the Solid Gold products..so just let me know what else you might want info on....
