My chi is almost one year... she won't hold her ears straight for the most part, only once in a while. I have read you can tape their ears up to 3 weeks prior to maturity.. Is my dog too old or will she stop being lazy and let them stand..
I think that floppy eared dogs are cute! Taping can be very painful to the puppies and unless your planning on showing the dog I would just leave them alone. Also, there are no guarantees that it would work, you might end up with one up and one down anyway.

If you do tape them, make sure you talk to a vet. There is a specific way it has to be done so that it does not hurt their ears. Also, most of the time chihuahua ears don't stand up when they are teething. Do they stand up sometimes and not others? If they do, it may be because she is teething. If they have never stood up, it could just be genetic. But I would ask a vet on what he would advise you do.
