Do any of you give your seniors joint care? My dog hasn't shown any signs of joint problems, but since he's around 10-11 years old, I thought I would start and keep him on it. It's Hartz Joint Maintenance, it has the glucosamine and other stuff in it to help manage joints.
Minnie just turned one on Sunday, so she's not a senior by any means, but she is a puppy mill produced Great Dane. I give her 500mg of ester C each day along with 1000mg of gloucosamine, for her joints (especially her hips). I don't see a problem with it, especially since you're trying to keep your dog healthy.
I know senior people who say those products work good for them, so why not for dogs too? It probably would make your dog feel better and it's great that you think your best friend is worth the expense.
