It also has a link to the pit bull rescue up there, so it sounds pretty legit. That's pretty neat :) The only thing is, won't a lot of the people that adopt the puppies change their names when they adopt them?
I don't think it is really about naming pups rather raising money to help rescue more. I'm sure people will change the names but the 47 people bidding probably know this and just want to help out sort of a donation type thing but to put this on e-bay you have to "sell" something. So why not sell puppy names.
I was watching the news lastnight and some family hasn't named their 1 1/2 yr old daughter yet. On her 1st birthday cake they just put baby. The news lady said I bet they auction off the rights to name the baby on ebay. So keep your eyes open for that one. Poor kid!!!
Syrn, yeah, that totally makes sense. I thought that as well. I guess what I meant by my question is if the names are just for the dog while they are in rescue, and if so, I would be curious to know how many adopters would actually keep the names. It would be neat if the people that adopted them kept the names they were given. If I adopted one of those dogs and they told me the story about their names, I would keep the name to honor the kind people that donated their money to name him/her :)
