My dog is seven months old and she is a girl, and I dont know what else to do my boyfriend doesn't want her at his house because she keeps on getting up in the middle of the night and and doing her business in his house and she doesn't do it at my house do you think she is trying to tell me something are because she is in a different environement I am really am thinking about letting her sleep in her crate at night and getting her a playpen while I'm at work because alot of people told me to get the playpen but I'm nervous about keeping her in there. Well she will not listen to me when I call her so she starts school on the 30 of this month, but can someone give me advice and she sleeps with me at night should I start letting her sleep in the crate.
You should crate her at night, it is the best thing to do. And when my dog was young she also woke us up at 12:00am to go to the bathroom. So maybe you sould let her out before she goes to bed and in the night. Also when you are at work you should putr her in the play pen becasue if she is loose in the house she can eat a lot of things that are not good for her. Good Luck with the puppy.
Is your routine any different when you go to his house? Maybe she is trying to tell you she is used to the way things are at your house. My puppy goes out for the last time at midnight then she goes out at about 7:30 am she does fine all through the night and she's only just about to turn 3 months I leave papers down for her in the kitchen though just in case she's gotta go. Maybe take her out extra late and wake up kinda early?
I would suggest crate training for night time, potty just before bed and fisrt thing in the am, during the day, I dont use playpens myself, if you have a room that you can seclude her in with papers, or pads that is linoleum floored, or even an excercise pen that is tall enough she cannot jump out, place on acceptable floor area with pottying material, and a clip on water dish.
