I'm not sure which puppy food would be the best ( for the first time )..does it matter?Do you just choose between prices?

I feed Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul. They love it and its good for them.

Price? No, go by ingredients.
Also by trials if you want to make sure they have actually fed this to dogs.

Nothing with alot of corn (most cheaper brands are filled with it)

Google the top ten brands of dog food to help you in your choice. Compare and research which you think is best.
There are quite a few reputable brands of dog food, that anyone on here would be happy to give you their opinion about....

I've noticed since I've been feeding the good stuff (about 12.99 for 6lb bag) my puppy has had much more energy, and her poo is alot better too.

Ingridients exactly totally right Pope

Ingridients are listed by how much they use so make sure that meat and or poultry are like the first 3 ingridients some foods have salmon in it GREAT for your pup and once again never buy from price.

I think dry food is the best! It is healthier for them than caned food!!

The top 3 ingrdients are the most important such as chicken, turkey, brown rice.

Never go by price, go by ingredients.A good place to read about the top 10 foods is the Whole Dog Journal.

What's considered as the best dog foods is a subjective opinion. The best dog foods (in one persons opinion) may differ from the best dog foods for your dog. For example, you can give your dog 'premium' dog foods and this will produce a healthier coat, smaller faecal volume and improve his breath - but if your dog doesn't like it, then it can't be the best dog food for your pet. At the end of the day, only your dog can determine what are the best dog foods.
