I recently adopted a dog and was looking on line for discount pets supply websites. Does any one know of Doctors Foster & Smith? If yes, would you recommend their dry dog food or another brand they carry called Wellness. The food the shelter was feeding him was Purina, I bought the Pro Plan but he will not eat it just kind of picks at it. I know there are better qualities out there; just did not want to change his diet too drastically until he adjusted.
I received a sales catalog in the mail several weeks ago from Doctors Foster & Smith. They do have great prices on dog foods and supplies. I heard from other TP forum members that their food is good.
My female chocolate lab, Hershey does well on Nutro Ultra Puppy and also on Wellness. Lately though, she prefers her Nutro Ultra more than the Wellness. I was hoping to change her eventually over from Nutro Ultra to Wellness since Wellness has more nutritious ingredients. I'm testing her now to see whether it's Wellness Fish & Sweet Potato that she doesn't care for, Wellness Super5Mix Chicken, or all Wellness. Hershey fooled me into thinking that she loved Wellness when she gobbled up her Wellness sample foods several months ago. I was planning to go strictly to Wellness once her Nutro Ultra ran out, but I'm not so sure now. We really don't think she likes Wellness that much.
