I have a 6wk old puppy. I know that he is lonely and misses his siblings and mother. how can I ease him from whining at night? It's almost as if having a newborn baby in the house. Please help. thanks. Jen
Put a stuffed animal and a clock wrapped in a blanket with the puppy. So the puppy will think it's the mothers heart beat. I got my puppy at 12 week. I put a crate in my bedroom where she could see me. I also bought here the snuggle puppy, but she never needed it it because she was older. The breeder let you take the puppy to early. You also need to buy so Nurtical. It helps the puppy when they take the mom away to soon. Usually they keep them with theie moms till eight weeks old.
Hi. I'm really not an expert but I have three 2 month old puppies and we have a crate just big enough for them to lay down and we cover it with two blankets so it's nice and dark for them and we have a two yr old so we have a sound machine in her room and a monitor in ours so we can hear the noise in her room and it soothes them since they were kept in an outdoors pen. Small comfy space, and a little calm noise helps! I'm surviving through the night with only one or two potty breaks.
Well...here's what i did...I slept in a recliner for the first few days with Gretchen (Doberman pup) on my lap. There was no rollover danger and she felt much more secure. After 3 days she was secure enough to sleep in her crate..The only problem is ..now she's 2 1/2 and she still loves to sit on my lap in the recliner, especially when it's cold! And she takes up all of my lap and most of the recliner, but really I enjoy these evenings with her.
