Does anyone on here own a Sphinx cat? I'm looking for info on them and would like some feedback from owners. Also, does anyone know of any links where I could find good info on them? Seems like you guys always have good links to stuff so I thought I'd ask.
P.S. Is it ok to post cat questions on here or is it suppose to be just dog stuff?
I don't know that much about cats, but aren't they the hairless cats? Went to a cat show about 2years ago and I am pretty sure that was the name of this hairless cat. They are really pretty. If I remember correctly I believe the one we saw was kind of a grey color.

I am a breeder of Shynx cats. I'll tell you from years of experienced that they are very entergetic, extremley playful, demand attention constantly, need more affection than most people give their spouse, and are quite vocal. They are docile when your not at home, are amazingly intelligent, and need constant companionship. They are not the healthiest of breeds, each cat having a 50% chance of developing a genetic disorder that eventually leads to early death. What you might not have guessed is that they require a tremendous amount of grooming! But, on the plus side, they are good with children and other pets. I would show you some pictures of my babies, but I have no where to post them. Hope this helps, feel free to ask anymroe questions.
I've been tossing around the idea of getting one for a long time and I am wanting to find out everything about them. So they have health problems? On the link that was posted it said they were pretty healthy. What do they get? You say they take lots of grooming? What all do you have to do with them? I groom my poodles so I'm use to tons of grooming! What state are you in?

I owned a retired breeder female for 1 1/2 years named Zoe. She was my constant companion and even slept under the covers with me every night. I fell asleep with her in my arms at night, and she would still be there in the morning. She was very vocal and would climb into the tub if I was having a bath. I found that even though she was a cat, that she was more dog-like, because she required constant love and attention. Zoe was not very healthy. When she died she was only four years old, and it broke my heart. If you do plan on aquiring a sphynx, find a vet who is knowledgable in thier care, and plan on many visits for ear infections and feed the very best food.
