what do you do about agression ? he's a 11 month old bullie ( he's not fixed and signed papers not to fix him ) with a lil 4 month old female bullie ..he's aggressive over food, water , toys . how do you stop this ? thanks
I had to separate my two bulldogs permanently because of this. My female was attacking my male. She has a wonderful new home now. I'm not suggesting that you should do that. If there's a way to help a dog lose it's aggressive tendency, I hope you can find it. One of my closest friends adopted a bully from a rescue org because she was attacking her owners other dogs. It's a tough problem to fix.
I guess you should talk to people in your area and try to find a really good experienced trainer. Best of luck.
My Akita is aggressive over food only. But the way I solved this was to give them feeding times and they had to eat on opposet ends of the room and you have to be there at all times to monitor. For treats, make sure they each have their own and are in seperate eatting places. Monitor until they are done. NEVER leave treats lying around. As for water, your other dog is just gonna have to learn he has to move and wait his turn. They will figure it out.
As for toys, remove the toy that is causing the problem Let them know that when he fights for it, he doesn't get it either. Keep giving it back to them. And if they share it they can keep it, if they argue take it away. Dogs should never have possessions they have not earned.
