I was just curious. I see that the thread goes back a long way and older members dont want to re-hash old topics and newer members may have informative advice to add.But the majority dont like to see old threads.
The other forum I visit automatically deletes if it has'nt been active for a few months, so i was wondering what your protocol was.
to my knowledge old topics are not deleted. i would rather have old topics brought back up then 10 new topics on the same things. unless of course it is a thread where someone asked for help or something that you know is something the OP is long gone now.
I just hate to have to reread all the old topics to find info. It would be easier if you could just pick a topic and those that are under it poops up, like dogfood, heartworm , ect..ect.. When one that pops up that has just been discussed with out the poster knowing then it get boring....and the people that know they already answered that same question not long ago really dont feel like going over it again. So I was just wondering , while i was looking back at old topics myself.
its the ones that someone was searching for a breed of puppy 3 years ago, and someone renews the thread because they have one to sell..........umm, i think they found it by now, and the poster is not here now anyway.
Or revive a thread to answer the posters question from 2 yrs ago.
If it is add to something or to show to someone who has a question that they can use that to refer to, no problem.
