Jimmy was barking all night on Sunday. He was very hyper He sleeps in my bed. He goes to the hallway and bark . I had to take him everytime he goes and bark . My next door neighbours may not like his barking and I do not want to get into trouble
The next day ( Monday) I could not perform my job well at work. I was tired and sleepy . I was not happy
I am now thinking of putting him in the cage in the night and cover the cage with blankets ( a friend of mine gave me that idea)
your thoughts ??

Yes, giving him his own place to sleep at night is a good idea. He may not like it at first, but try giving him something to keep himself entertained. For example, put some peanut butter in a kong ball. Or save special toys for bed time
The most important thing is, don't go to him every time he barks or whines when he is in his crate. If you do this, he will learn that barking and whining gets your attetion, and he will do it even more. If you keep the crate in your bedroom close to you, it will probably help him be more comfortable, especially at first. Just don't reward barking! Reward quiet behavior! Good luck!
