Boil it down and make sure all the fat/junk gets off it. If your dogs have tolerable stomachs, add a dash of garlic powder (NOT SALT). Some say it's the only spice they can smell, and it attracts nosey noses. :D

We take it raw, straight from the package, sprinkle with garlic powder, place it in the oven at a low temp and let it cook slowly. This helps for it to dry out and you wont have the wet mess when your handling it. You will need to turn it to let each side dry.
(last minute hint) alot of the stands at the shows...Doggie Lodge and such open up very early, and have a honor system...the liver bait they make is $1.00 for a small package of it and it is kept in a little cooler with a nearby jar to drop your buck in....for those early ring times.
