I'm so excited i just had to share with somebody the pic of my new show puppy. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e13/LovebugPoms/MINE.jpg I pick her up from the national specailty pom show in KY next week. She is a 3 month old orange sable with a black mask. Champion sired, and her pedigree is awesome! Filled with great quality dogs! I'm so excited to be getting my hands on something so nice!! Shes been in a few puppy matches and i know she did well but i couldn't tell you how well since i know nothing about how puppy matches work. I'll have to have the breeder explain it to me when i get there.
I hope the link to the pic works. I'll post new pics when i actually have her in my pocession. Maybe i can post some pics from the dog show too. I think there are going to be something like 280 poms theres, at least thats what the club website said.
Oh and i almost forgot her AKC name will be Adams Lovebug Haley's Comet. Adams is the breeders kennel name, Lovebug is my kennel name, and Haley's Comet is something the breeder thought of because it goes along with the theme they named her brother with(they're keeping her brother for showing) His name is Adams Galaxy Cruiser. I decided to keep it since she already responds to Haley.
Thanks guys! She is a cutie. I can't wait to meet her. The breeder says shes a feisty one with a real good "look at me" attitude for showing! I like pups with alot of spunk! I got all the hard work done for me too, she is pee pad trained, table trained for show, lead trained, comes when shes called too! Ofcourse we'll have to re-train her to go potty outside but the pee pads can be used till she gets the idea so i'm happy for our living room carpet :)
Riley, The sable markings will disappear as she gets older. When she is grown, she will be a color that you will recognize. Most people do not see them or recognize them until they turn the "normal" color but all red and orange sables are born that color....same thing with chows...all the reds are born WAY darker then they grow up to be.
