As some of you may remember we adopted a 61/2 month old Min. Schnauzer 3 months ago. Zoey - she is great but I am still having trouble getting her house broken. Just to recap I got her from a family that just did not have time for her she lived in her crate for 18 - 20 hours a day . So she is just a little high strung. But that is not a bad thing. I would love to hear some suggestions of ideas to help get her house broken. She does use pee pads when i am gone. We have a nother min. schnauzer (Sasha) she is 3 So they go out together. HELP!!!
Dont keep ehr food and water down.Pick them both up after 15 minutes.Give her water a few times through the day.If you dont want to crate train her.then hook her to you on a leash no more than six feet long.Take her out every two hours and make sure she gets a couple good half hour walks a day. When she goes out take her out on a leash and praise her when she goes potty. If you cant watch her on a leash confine her to a very small area or a crate.I would quit using the pee pads. They tend to let the dog think its okay to go in the house. She will do fine without them.
