Ok, so out of the two I listed, which one would you guys choose? I've heard a lot of good things about canidae, but artemis looks like a great food as well. Plus, I like the fact that they not only have for different lifestages, but they have kinds of food for small breeds.
Both are good foods. I would get samples and let the dog(s) choose which one they like. As long as they don't have problems with one or the other then just stick with that one. Or I know quite a few people besides myself that actually rotate and/or blend 2 foods. I give one grainless food (Innova Evo) mixed with Eagle Holistic fish..my dogs love it.
If you have a puppy though I would choose one food and be consistant unless the puppy hates the food. I had a customer who constantly switch against my recommendations because she wasn't sure if she liked the food because she had allergies and she didn't want the dog eatting things that she was allergic to!! The puppy looked horrible, underweight at 16 weeks, you could see his ribs. I finally took a stance out of fear for this puppy's wellbeing. She finally stuck with one and the next time I saw him he had filled out.
Well, since I had a hard enough time getting my supplier to order the Canidae, I don't think she'd be thrilled if I asked her to order the other for the crew to try. Since it's not carried locally, I'm out of luck for a sample.
The crew is doing well on the Canidae, it's reasonably priced and I can actually GET it. So guess that's the deciding factor here.
