I just wanted to invite anybody in the area to the Brush Prairie Cluster dog shows starting July 13th & 14th for specialties and the 15th thru the 17th for the all-breed dog shows to be held at the Salem, OR. fairgrounds.
Our club, "Columbia Poodle Club", is having our annual two day specialty on the 13th & 14th. This is our 51st year. We have the largest Poodle Specialty in the Pacific NW with between 70-90 entries.
The all-breed shows usually draw 1200-1400 entries. If you've never experienced a dog show and are in the area, please come by.
For anyone that can make the Poodle Specialty, watch for our champion 'Beamer' in the Toy Poodle competition as a special. This will probably be his first and only show in the US in adult trim/Continental Cut.
Oh man, not fair. I read Brush Prairie and I thought it was going to be in Brush Prairie, WA. You know, right by Battleground and Vancouver. Anyway, Salem is a little too far to drive. BP would have taken 4 hours, or less if no traffic.
wolf, the 'Cluster' hasn't actually been at Brush Prairie for a few years now. It's been held in Hillsboro, OR. the last few years, but there was a conflict with an Air Show this year, and the fairgrounds decided to go where the money was (even though the fairgrounds had been reserved for the dog show first). I wish it was at Brush Prairie also. How far north are you, Olympia area?
farther north. My DH was stationed at NSB Bangor before he retired. The base is now called NB Kitsap-Bangor. I live about 40 minutes north (Kinsgton) of the base which is on the outskirts of Silverdale.
I just looked at the picture you posted. I missed the show at Quest Field in Seattle. It's about 30 minutes and a Ferry ride away.
