and he is having a good time with it. we have been having trouble with a mouse that has been elusive. phatboy , our cat, has been spending most of his time in front of our kitchen stove. now he has caught his prize and is flinging it around. i cant take it away from him because it grosses me out. the dogs and i , are hold up in my bedroom until my son wakes up to deal with it. when i first noticed he had the mouse was when he flung it towards me and it landed by my feet and started wobbling around. i had an immediate panic attack and grabbed up the dogs and fled to my room. i think that for cats, most of the fun is in playing with the things until they quit moving and then they are no longer fun anymore. so for now, me and the "kids" are in lock down, hoping that my son gets up soon ! lol
That is hilarious! I sat here and laughed out loud, then read it to my significant other and we laughed together. You are right, the fun is gone when it acts "dead". God, I used to be so scared of mice. I would get on the table if I saw one run across the floor. Thanks for making me laugh today. Hope you are not holed up too long.
well my son woke up and found the cat but no mouse. either it got away or got eaten. although the thought of him crunching on a mouse is totally gross, i hope that is the case. i dont want to have the little bugger run across my toes later on or find the remains anywhere in the house, like my bed. so if he did eat it, i hope he was a good boy and finished his entire meal. tail and all ! i would hate to find those kind of "leftovers". gross !
hate to break it to ya but likely not - I don't think cats catch small animals for food. So, unless you haven't fed your cat in a couple days you are probably going to find it (or pieces of it) by accident. Not a pleasant experience - my advice to is to have children/hubby go on a treasure hunt.
I can feel for ya! If my husband had not been home the morning Mandy brought the bird through the doggie door, I don't know what I would have done. I am literally terrified of birds, and this one was still alive. I would have done the same thing you did, baracade myself in the bedroom. Hope you find whats left, ugh. bless your heart.
Francesca gets plenty of food but she stills loves hunting mice , lizzards and ground moles. Birds too. But when she eats an mouse she usally leaves the head on our steps!YUCKY! I guess she dont like that partt or wants us to have some too!LOL!
our bear is a big time bird hunter and she always eats them and then leaves the liver or something in front of our door.
one time angel brought in a bird that he caught in to the kitchen through the back door. i looked at him and screamed, he opened his mouth and the bird flew out the door agian....i nearly had a heart attack.
