Here is a video that I recieved in a e-mail a while back. I love this video and I think it is a great way to show poeple the truth about pits. I love Pit Bulls, and think that they are a great breed. And I can't wait to have one. In all the dogs I've worked with alot of dogs, including Pits, and I've seen more aggressive labs and small dogs, than Pits.

This video has some graphic pics on it, that are heart breaking, but it is filled with wonderful pics aswell.

I don't know what to say except that breaks my heart. I guess what most people don't realize is that any dog who is treated in a cruel way is liable to turn on you.

That video was a bit shocking. To think that people that we may see each and everyday could also be the ones to go home at night and encourage this from their dogs.

I can't even put into words what kind of person it must take to allow that kind of fighting and abuse to an adult dog much less a puppy.

I know how my dogs greet me. I am sure those dogs would be the same way IF they weren't not forced to endure the horrors they must face.

That was very sad. It makes me angry that these dogs are the ones getting the blame. They need to really crack down harder with jail time and fines to the actual abusers- the owners. I have heard some of the fines they get and how they may have to spend a short time in jail- that is NOT enough. Anyone who is that cruel to do that to a dog COULD possibly do it to a child.

Does anyone know the history of why it was pit bulls that were chosen to become "fighting dogs" instead of any other breed?

I've seen that one, very sad, the but the images at the end make you smile. Not every pit bull has such a horrible life and horrible owners. Someday we will all be accounted for being cruel and evil, maybe not during our lifetime, but someday. And those animals will be the ones at peace.
