Hello~~~ I have been reading some of your posts about Dolla and I am so sorry for what you are going thru. I was in a similar situation with a GDS mix breed that I adopted from the shelter about 3 months ago. I have read some of your posts in the past and I understand that you have health problems and that money is an issue and that is nothing to be ashamed of. My husband and I are in the same boat healthwise and we live on a very tight budget. We do the very best that we can for our dog within our financial limits. When we went thru our situation with our adopted dog we felt helpless too. We talked with our vet and some local dog trainers. They had no answers for us. The closest animal behavior expert they could put us in touch with was over 2 hrs. away and we did not know how we could get her there safely because of her fear aggression. Because of the abuse she had been thru she was terrified to death of other people. And we could not handle the expense of an expert. The day after we adopted her the transmission went out on our 13 yr. old car, $1200 to repair, and a couple of days later our 10 yr. old clothes dryer broke down, $250 to repair or buy a new one. I am sending you the email address of the Dr. that they referred me to. She is in Tenn. as well. Please contact her ASAP about Dolla, she was very helpful to us. She helped me to understand that there are some things that happen to dogs that they can't overcome or that can't be trained out of them, that our dogs behavior could get us in serious trouble if she hurt someone and that if we tried to rehome her and she hurt someone it might come back on us. We had no choice but to return her to the shelter. We only had her for 3 weeks but we fell in love with her despite her problems. I think about her and cry almost every day:(. Please email this Dr. and be very clear about what you know about your dogs history and its bite history. Her name is Dr. Beth Strickler and she is a veterinary behavior specialist, her email is bstrickler1@ yahoo .com. Sorry this post is so long. I just thought maybe Dr. Strickler could help you in some way. I hope you and your Mom are okay.

I wish I lived closer to you, I would take Dolla in a heartbeat, do the training and find him a great hime. Mabye this trainer can do something like this for you. Please let me know.
