I am looking at possibly getting a set of two and would like to know your experiance with the breed. I have read what is out there on the breed. I was not looking for more than one furkid but I found two, a brother and sister pair that are fixed.
I have three. They are easy to train and picked up our routine fast. They are a little hard to house break as with most toy breeds. (actually only one was stuborn about it) They are people dogs, they love attention and hate to be left alone. They don't shed but their hair does require time if you keep it long. We are outside alot so we keep our dogs coats short. When it's cold out they each have a sweater. They do tend to be yappy but stop when I tell them that's enough. If you have specific questions I will be happy to answer them if I can. Nancy
I am not sure where to begin. We started off by looking for a very small dog to be a pal to me and the girls (8 and 10). Do they like to cuddle and sit on ones lap or do they just hang out with the family. Do they have issuse if you or another family is there for a while and gone again. I have an active duty hubby that is gone alot but when he is home he is with us all of the time when he is not working. I am not sure what else. Is having two a lot more work than one? I am a bit intimidated by having two as I live in an apartment.
I forgot to add. The Havanese are sturdy little dogs with stout legs and chunky bodies. Not fragile like other little dogs. And mine are not nervous or shakey. They love to play. Depending on the age of the dogs you are looking at, the young puppies are more work. Once you get them trained it's easy.
