Those are fantastic. We still need to do our pumpkins today. Now that my kids are old enough to do it themselves they seem to have lost interest in doing it. Oh well, I still enjoy carving pumpkins. BTW, how did you get the picture of your son on the pumpkin? Copy a photo and use it as a template? That is so cool.
Thanks! My husband and I started making our own templates from pictures a couple years ago. You scan an image and then crop it. Take out all the background. Then you reduce it to 3 colors - black, white and grey. Then you invert the colors... so on your image - anything that is to be cut out completely will show Black. Anything to be left alone will be white and anything to be shaved will be grey.
Tape your template to your pumpkin and poke little holes around the lines... then begin shaving and cutting. It's very time consuming... but we enjoy it!
