Okay. I have two kittens that were born last summer. I just found a kitten walking down a busy road (he looks a little younger than mine, but not much) and I brought him home. My cats don't like him at all. Do you know of a way to get them used to each other? Right now we just have them in seperate rooms. Thanks!
I first have to say "Thanks for taking in a stray"; that in my book is first class!
I have not tried this but I read once to give them all a bath and put them in a small room together. They claim that they will be so busy licking themselves they will get over the new comer. I myself would watch them to make sure. Make sure you clip there claws.
If you try this let me know if it works.
Cats are pretty territorial and it may take some time before they except the kitten. The different smell will also ward off the cats that belonged there first.
I dont know if this will work but i herd that if you put tuna water on them they will lick it off eachother and end up liking eachother. Kinda along the same thing as the bath.
When i brought a stray into my house (we found the owners the next day) my cat freaked, I told him he would have to get over it, he sat next to the door for a hour then decited to play nice. i was there watching the whole time just in case. I dont know if that works for all cats but my cat is kinda snotty and if you make him mad he will listen better. I tought him to sit and jump through hoops by not giving him treats instead giving rocky some untill he jumped through the hoop or sat down like a good cat. boy was he mad but it worked.
I'm gonna trade this life for fortune and fame I'd even cut my hair and change my name
