Okay, so, I went to the dog show yesterday. My competition was this 8 mos old puppy that had at least 10 points on him, so I got second to him. I'm perfectly happy with second. Today, Jeff said he didn't want to go, so we didn't. I'm not happy about it, at all. So I'm going to start going to shows by myself and be there for the entire weekend. My dog turned 9 mos. too today so he would have had a slightly better chance of making some points if I actually went. Plus, there were tons of people there with Chins, so I was really happy. >:(, I'm annoyed. Taha. And for pictures, well, I have absolutely no idea how to do it. I'm going to try though. Since we didn't go today I don't have any pictures of us showing(me and mr. puppy), since jeff didn't take good ones yesterday, like, mr. puppy or neither of us were in the picture at all. taha. I don't know if these will work...but hopefully they will.
Mr. Puppy, so far only 2 points to his name..but what are you going to do when your jobless and have no funds for traveling to shows? :P http://www.dogster.com/dogs/526118
I know people who work for handlers for free. They only ask for hotel, meals and gas money. But the knowledge you gain is priceless if your goal is to show. It is hard work and long hours. But it sure does cut the expenses. The handler I worked for likes one of the dogs I bred so much, that she has actually offered to take him out and show him for me. Perks. What area do you live in, I might be able to give you some names of handlers in your area.
He's your friend, your partner, your defender your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to worthy of such devotion
Well, the thing is, if I were to travel around with people, I'd rather do it with someone I know, like Jane or Sheila, they know me pretty well and I'm still friends with them. They've been breeding and showing for years, they show the Chin, you could probably guess I got my dog(s) from them. I'm spaying the one from Sheila, though. Sheila still gives me lots of tips, and I just made new friends where I live, I tried to hint towards them to let me go along with them since its impossible for me to travel, maybe I'll just ask them straight out next time I see them. I live in the Arkansas area, about an hour or two from Little Rock. I wouldn't be able to to do this 24/7, I need to make house payments and pay for dog food, etc. If you know anyone that would be willing to take me along sometimes, otherwise, I'm sure Cindy would take me along. I know some pretty decent people for just moving here, my 'competition' at the show even asked for me to stay after the best of show was over. I doubt since I would only be able to do a weekend a month with the job situation that any handler would be willing to do that, except for people I already know, maybe. Well, any tips are appreciated, its just hard to juggle showing when your trying to take care of everything else. Welcome to adult-hood, right?

"hey u guys(or girls) i am training my golden on how to do the agility shes really good. If u want tips on it then give me a pm. thx i would really like to chit chat. ok bye"
Some of us compete already.. Look for older posts about it if you want to find someone to chat with.. Doubt most people need over the net advice on agility though if they are already into it, works better in real life..
