Does anyone have a clue where to buy the velcro litter ID collars??? I found a place online, but they want 20 bucks for 5 of them... Or if anyone has any ideas on marking pups that would be great also....Thanks
Well, my husband is completely worried about the pups and mamma when they have litters. To the point that i had to buy him an air matress to sleep on, in the same room as them. Anyhow, he does not like the idea of the nail polish or just using ribbon...But i am out of ideas, other than the ID collars, So something that HE would deem safe, makes this idea even harder. In the past i have just had the Digital camera there and take pics of the pups ASAP and give them numbers. But sometimes they change so much its hard to keep track.
Try www.valleyvet.com or www.petedge.com I don't use the colored ones, but instead the ones that allow you to insert a paper with a name or other info on and seals inside the little disposable collars. But I have a breed that normally have different markings, so I don't use them that often. I only used them when my now X husband was home alone with the dogs.
He's your friend, your partner, your defender your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to worthy of such devotion
Honestly if you are going to pay a few dollars a piece for them, why not just get the puppies permanently identified with micro-chips. I don't think it is safe for puppies to leave the breeder un-chipped. You never know what could happen in the puppy's life where they may end up in a shelter. It just makes sense.
Boxers are like cookies you can't have just one :)
No,I'm sorry i should have explained...I have my pups chiped....that is not the issue. My bitch is fawn and white and the male is brindle and white...So i'm going to have some various different pups.. the collars are just for me!!! I work full time and have children also..So i don't have the greatest memory!!!Lol... Just an easy way for me to identify them at a glance without getting out the log book...
I guess i am not sure if i am understanding you. Do you have a couple of different litters you are expecting or 1 litter and you just want to know one pup from the next in that litter. What about just regular collar that are different colors and print? This is something you can save back for the next litter as well!
Oh god no! English bulldogs??? I just have one litter at a time. This is just for me. I have tried to just buy puppy collars..but there little fat necks grow so fast i end up buying several collars...that is why i am looking for velcro type...that can just be adjusted..
