One, Alaskan Malamutes are NOT small dogs, soo, she shouldn't have gotten him in the first place. I on the other hand, love absolutely huge dogs, like the Malamute, they're one of my favorite dogs. This is sad, I hope he finds a home. I'm overloaded with animals right now...even if I could find him a new forever home.
That would be the very reason we ended up with Storm, our Lab/Dane mix from the kill shelter. GREAT boy, sweet disposition, well mannered, wonderful with the kids. But HEY the folks who got him as a pup were surprised when he got too big for their mobile home~
He was a well loved addition to our home for 9 years. It looks like Brownie would make a wonderful addition to someone's home and I hope he gets that chance.
"Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful".
UGH my heart goes out to this poor boy! I really am not sure how owner surrenders can sleep at night knowing they have just put their pup on death row (literally). This is just a fact of not caring; their are to many other ways they could have tried such as rescues, fostering themselves, no kill shelters, wanted adds, whatever.
All in all another typical sad day at the pound =( I pray he becomes one of the lucky ones!
