AKC male and CKC female...now what?
I have a Champion Blood line AKC male that just bred with a CKC female...can the female puppy become AKC?

I have a Champion Blood line AKC male that just bred with a CKC female...can the female puppy become AKC? How can I do this? See my photo of pup...she is adorable... I may want to breed her as she has wonderful markings and temperment, and is very smart. Potty trained in 3 days...just like her Daddy....

Is your CKC dog a Canadian Kennel Club registered dog? If not, no your dog can't become an AKC registered dog. And I won't even touch the breeding question. I would recommend that you read through some of the old threads concerning breeding a dog because it's cute, adorable, etc

I like him a lot better than I like most people. To you he's a dog. TO me he's an adopted son who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. I have no problem with any of these. <

Depends on which CKC it is.
Your post said...just bred, meaning that this is a brand new breeding, or is the resulting pups already born?
The pup in your post, is this the one that has been bred, or is the resulting pup of that breeding? I'm confused.

People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.

akc only registers puppies to akc registered parents. i do know that if you prove to ckc that your dog is purebred with profile pictures and a vet recommendation that they may consider registering your akc male as ckc. good luck with your puppies.

Um, I'm not trying to start anything, but, I thought you were allowed to switch CKC to AKC? I think it was CKC, my standard poodle was ckc, pretty positive, and the breeder told us we could switch her over to akc. We never did, but, was the breeder just full of it? If she was I won't buy from her again, but I love Daisy, and I thought about getting another poodle a year or two ago for showing purposes. Why, not sure, but I do know I love to groom, and groom a lot, so I thought'd be fun..lol. Now, it'd just be strictly pet.

If a dog is registered with the CANADIAN Kennel Club, it is eligible for registration with the AKC.

If a dog is registered with the CONTINENTAL Kennel Club, it is NOT eligible for registration with the AKC.

So, it depends on which CKC a dog is registered with.

And thank you for posting that list gbroxon. I know that the AKC does indeed allow transfers from some registries. Annie is from a Russian registry. RKF/FCI, and i know that she is transferable.

If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
