Cat owners and others answer the following: What do you feed your kitten/cat and why? What would you want to be sent home with a kitten when you bought it?Toys,food,etc/. I need to know healthy nutritious meals to feed these kittens until I find them all homes. Is there anything fresh I can feed them.Currently I am feeding them milk formula and soft food.(((I need to introduce them to hard food but I dont know any brands that would be suitable for them.... I need to know what to give the new owners!!I will be going to a suply store tonite to get stuff for the new owners and tips and facts for them.
I know a lot of breeders send home information packets on the care of a kitten .does anybody know of pre-done information that i could use.
By the way ,,these are barn kittens who are not being fed enoght by their mothers.I need suggestions.
My new baby Allie eats Purina Kitten Chow. My breeder's vet recommended it because Purina tests every batch of food so it is safe. All her kittens eat it and Allie loves it. The pieces are tiny so her little teeth can handle it. The most important thing is to not switch their diet around too much so they don't get upset tummies. And no cow's milk! It gives them diarrhea. Depending on how old your babies are, the mom may be trying to ween them so they need regular food nearby. (and water) Make sure the bowl has a low edge so they can get at the food easily. You don't really need to get fancy. Allie is a Persian and Purina is fine for her! You're worrying too much. But that's very sweet that you care about these babies that you didn't even ask to be responsible for.
