Has anyone tried this method? Does it work? My new puppy has a tendency to nip (and her teeth are SHARP!). I watched the 20/20 rerun the other night and saw the Tamar Geller Peanut Butter technique where you put Peanut Butter on your hand and say 'Kisses'. I've tried this the last few days and sure enough she does lick the peanut butter off my hand but later when we are playing she is back to the occassional hand grab/nip. I will continue to try this method but just wondered if anyone here has used it and if it was successful. Thanks!
Well think about it you have to constantly have sticky PB on you inorder for this to work. So after the pup licks it off you need to keep going and getting more or carry around a container of it. It just seems quite silly and even messy when it is much easier top use a toy and make it a productive play session as well.
I'm sure it works fine, but I personally would not use that for bite inhibition training

make the toe or finger less fun by keeping it still, Maybe try not saing anything, sometimes your voice can excite the dog more. And then make the rag or toy more interesting even try throwing the toy.
