Hopefully this is not breaking any of the topic posting rules, but my new puppy (who I thought was doing a beautiful job with her housetraining) recently let me into her little secret. When she pees you really can't tell unless you catch it within the first 5 minutes - and I've apparently missed some accidents. I'd like to get my carpet cleaned but would like suggestions to the best company for cleaning and removing pet odors. The last company I used seemed good, but 2 weeks after the smell came right back. A friend said that I might have to pull up the carpet and pour bleach on the cement but that seems a little drastic to me. Any suggestions would be helpful.
You could just rent a rug doctor machine, use some Natures Miracle with the machine. That would be the cheapest. Depending on your area, you'd have to look in your yellow pages, and ask the companies how they take care of the urine issue.
LOL- we Tore out all the carpet and put wood and tile floors threw out the house. The bedrooms are the only carpet left. And since doing this my dogs have done wonderful with house breaking , and when they do have a accident which is rarly its much easier to clean up- Seemed like i was cleaning up their accidents every day and was so tired and the natures maricle was getting pretty pricey as i was buying 2 huge gallon sized jugs a week . So i had a idea one day about putting hard wood floors down and called hubby at work and said lets put wood down and he agreed and we did it that weeeknd..lol Now the only problem i have is that dust bunnys seem to multiply and even after cleaning seems they find their way back to the floors..lol better then pee smells and stains on carpet tho
We have tried all types of things for our carpet... there really isnt anything that works too well. My advice about carpet cleaners- whatever you do, dont use Kiwi carpet cleaning... it was the worst company we have used... and they destroyed our carpet.
