Cat has blackend gums
does this need medical attention?

Our cat's gums are starting to have a black color to them. Is this normal?

Is it a black cat?

It's not unusual for a cat's gums -- and even the roof of his mouth -- to take on some of his coat color, especially as he gets older.

Ha ha haha. No, he is like a beige coloring. No black on his outer coat at all.

I have a red Persian male cat that has some black on his gums. So I would say it is probably normal.
