Hello Everyone! This is hard to explain, and trust me please it is TRUE. When my favorite hammy "Blackie" had her third litter, not a day later, she(mommmy) died, then very quickly 7 out of her 8 babies died. The only thing I can think of was that she had too many litters and wore herself down? My husband and I dropper fed the only one that would attempt to eat and kept her tank on a heatting pad, until she was strong enough to eat on her own and grew.A very long story short, "Ocho" has never been a "normal" hamster, she`s very high-strung, literally does flips in her cage, and wont let anyone hold her, she wriggles and jumps like a flea! Was there too much "stress" on her as an orphan and having had no sibling or mamma does she even know that she`s a hamster? Is there anything we can do to calm her down? I feel responsible for her like I would my own child...Thanks!
