I have a 2 year old female cat who I have had since she was a kitten. While I was in school, I was living with another girl who had an older male cat. My cat LOVED her cat and they played together every day. Only now that I am done school and have moved away the dear friends are apart, and my cat is lonely. She cries a lot, and comes to me all the time for attention now. I love the attention I'm getting from her but I can't play with her all the time. I need some good ideas to help her beat her boredom. Any good toys out there?? I know I can just get another cat to keep her company but I'm not ready for that right now since I've just moved and started a new job (too much stress) and it wouldn't be fair to the other cat. I just need some advice to get us by in the mean time. Anything would be great.
Mine all have each other for company but there is this one toy that I just bought that they LOVE. It's really wierd because I see the oldest carrying it around in her mouth and taking it to other rooms to play by herself. It's from a line of toys put out by the Cat Fanciers Association and I got it at Petco. It was a package of 2 cloth covered lavender colored balls with white feathers attached. They have a rattle inside too. They quickly became the favorite toy. I also sent a feather wand home with a friend for her new kitten and the adult (7 years old) has claimed it for her own and licks it until it's wet. So I'm thinking that anything with feathers will cheer your girl up until you can adopt a friend for her.
