As some of you know, we recently adopted a dog. My sister has always been terrified of dogs. I mean terrified. She would tolerate small dogs, but bigs dogs just made her go into a panic. Since Buster weighs almost 70 lbs, she couldn't handle him being loose in the house when she came to visit. We always put him in his crate. Well, she was down tonight, and we crated him like normal. He was crying. My brother-in-law kept telling her that Buster really wanted out! While I know we should never cave into his crying, I made an exception tonight. My sister actually told me to let him out. First I had him leashed. Then I left him have free reign. While she wasn't thrilled by Buster, she wasn't running for the door. Give me another couple of months and they will be buds, which would thrill my brother-in-law as he loves dogs and would have one in a heart beat. I see a new addition coming!
That's great Did something happen to her like a dog bite?? I had a little boy here they were going to buy a dog from me but the little boy is terrified of dogs he was biten 4 times by small dogs and I have poms.. But the mom really wanted a pom I finally said to her after an hour of trying to convince this kid the dogs were not going to bite him (he actually petted one with me holding her head) That maybe she is trying to rush him and a dog is not something you can just throw into his arms and say here learn to like it, That maybe should should give it a couple months when I had a litter I would invite them back and let HIM pick a puppy and that way you would be sure he would bond with it.
But back to the topic I would be interested to be kept up to date with how this is going atleast she didn't freak out and start screaming!! maybe she will warm up to the dog
