MY CATS:HOPE, FAITH, AND TRUST! HAVE THEM IN LIFE AND YOU'LL DO FINE!
i sawt his thing today on "its me or the dog"that bring the cat close to them and give your dogs treats. take her away and bring her back in a couple seconds later. give them treats again. that way they think its good having her around. make sure you do this until they get used to it.
I don't really think there is anything you can do except train the dog not to go near the kitten. The problem will be to train the kitten to stay away from the dog. If your kitten doesn't run then most dogs just growl and act up then leave because they didn't get a response. What makes a dog chase cats is that they run. I had a cat that wouldn't run and no dog ever bothered her. You know you dog so you have to make sure they...dog/kitten are kept seperate.
