My westie bred with another westie 65 days ago. We didnt take her back to the vet after breeding because she never showed any signs of pregnancy. Now, 65 days after she has begun periodic nesting behavior. She doesnt look pregnant at all. When she began acting like she was nesting I looked her over and noticed her 2 lowest nipples look like they are starting to sag a bit. She carries around her stuffed animal toy with her sometimes and yesterday was whining a little bit. Is she experiencing a false pregnancy or could we be mistaken and she may be be pregnant? She goes to the vet on saturday but Im kinda worried now and wonder if I should take her to a different vet who can see her sooner. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
It sounds like a false pregnancy, and at 65 days, a Westie would be noticeably pregnant, and probably would'nt go 65 days. If you're taking her on Saturday, that's 67 days.An x -ray at least a week ago would have showed you whether she is pregnant or not, and given you a puppy count, which you badly need. I hope everything works out well.
