My puggle is adorable. She is also more than fiesty. Bella will chew on anything, constantly. I have tried yelping and saying no. Redirecting to a chew toy. She keeps coming back for more. Any suggestions?
How old is Bella? We rescued Rocky when he was 4 1/2 months. He is a beagle/pug mix and was he EVER hyper. They had him in a cage in their garage since he was given them when he was 6 weeks. They had a pts on him and we took him. After going through two levels of obedience classes he was wonderfu. We were told. Once they learn they never forget. They are right. After training and working with Rocky he is great. He is now 2 yrs. 2 months and a better natured, dog, great with kids, loves other dogs, cats, loves everyone after being introduced, Nothing Better!!!
My suggestion, work with her, take her to obedience class,(private with only 6 other dogs worked for us), repetition, and work with your baby! Puggles need more loving and one on one attention than any dog I have ever had. That being said, they are wonderful, loving, giving, dogs.
I just wish they had not been deliberately breed.
There are too many pups in shelters and pounds now. People as a rule do not want to work with their dogs and make them "good citizens"
Let me know how yours is doing, I really will be interested. There is so much unknown about this dog, and the fact that the shelters have a lot of them is frightening.
