our other dog?

These dogs have grown up together....there is a 5 month age gap between the two.

It took forever to potty train our JRT mix and it seems oneday she just started to get it but it seems our Poodle He will tell us when she has to go out.

Well today I noticed she was growling at him a lot and he would growl back and I finally figured out what was going on she was whining and then growling....

She was telling him she needed to potty (I figured that out from the gas) and he was telling her no. (they had just been out 15 mintues before and she didn't go)

I asked her if she needed to go Potty and she started crying harder...so I took her out and sure enough.

She doesn't think there is a chain of command or something?

I mean you would think by now she would know its okay to tell us she needs to potty.

What can we do to show her that?

Our JRT mix is the bigger dog but she is the younger and more submissive dog.

I'm not really sure what the question is here.
One dog is not informing the other dog about potty Breaks.
There may be some ranking issues among the two.
Not everydog catches on that, if I stand by the back door, someone will let me out, on their own.
Walk the dogs on a regular basis, or let them out on a regular basis so they will need to go out at those times.
Create habits.
