My darling Patty, she is a beautiful chihuahua. she is an one-year-old deer head chihuahua that i got from a reputable chihuahua breeder.this is my first chihuahua. when i first brought her home, i thought she was sick as she was so timid and shy. And I don't know how to deal with it.So I search on the internet and want to learn some basic chihuahua health knowledge. Share with you all the most helpful article I have read, which is posted in chihuahua.dormitory.com/ , symptoms and signs of a sick chihuahua: see a vet!
Hi! I also have a deer headed chi, male. They are awesome and yes tend to be a little timid and very protective of their owners, in my case, his mom...lol
With the health issues, the only one I know of is that chi's tend to suffer with hypoglycemia. Midnite, my male, turned out to be so and it was a blessing that I tend to pay more attention as they are my babies and they visit my vet more regular than most...lol...between the vet and the groomers, they have more bills than me. But they are overall awesome.
Enjoy your new little guy and just be aware that should his attitude turn suddenly from normal, you can usually take it as he is trying to tell you something may not be right.
So you bred your out of standard Chihuahua to your Poodle and you obviously haven't done any health testing, WOW! Someone who cared about their dogs and the puppies they produced would know all of the health problems that affect their breed or breeds. This is a perfect example of why we steer people away from breeders who sell mixed breeds.
