I have an american bulldog female that i just got. When we go her she was alittle over a year. at firswt my male wouldnt stop trying to mate with her. i noticed the bitch started bleeding a couple days ago but he stopped trying to mate but he licks her constantly. Will he still try to mate with her or can i promote mating somehow? Is it too late?
If she just started bleeding a couple of days ago, she will not let him breed her until she has been bleeding for about 8-10 days usually. If she beats the crap out of your male, while she is not ready, he may not breed her at all. I usually seperated mine until she was about day 8.
