I have a one year old american bulldog that is scared of the lawnmore, vac, snowthrower anythingthat makes noise they don't even have to be runing. Ive had her since she was four mo old and it keeps geting worse.any advice
try talking to an obeience instructor. they put dogs threw tests and then work with you on what to do. mine didnt like small animals and the instructor worked with me and him and he's doing fine. thats what i would do if i were you. because when the dogs bigger it might lead to problems i know this all to well. but working with the pup on what makes them scared will help. not all dogs respond the same so keep that in mind.
My am Bully will be a year old next month, and she hates the hair dryer. I normally just shut the bathroom door and she will head to the living room and leave me alone. I know it doesn't really solve the issue at hand but i've tried desensitizing her to the hairdryer with treats and toys and she just keeps barking.
This is my 1st am bully and it cracks me up on their little quirks. Just recently she's gotten into the habbit of having to scan the apartment a few times (including the balcony) before heading to her kennel for bed. It's nice that she is protective, but goodness gracious does she get upset if we don't allow her to.
If you figure out a way to fix this issue i'd love to hear how!
