Problems with my two cats, one is almost ten years. The other one is two years. I'll start with the ten year old one. She's never caused problems like this before, but she started scratching at the walls, and at the carpets. I trim her nails weekly, so I'm not sure what to do about it. My kitten also scrathces at carpets, but rarely. She only started after my ten year old one started. The kitten also gets her paws trimmed weekly, but she has problems. She scratches, and meows, throughout the whole procedure. Even if I cut off the smallest bit of her claw. I don't know why, and she hasn't gotten better since the first time we trimmed her nails. Thanks for comments and help, Sanimallover
Retired sire/dam or not, no animal should be sold because they can not breed anymore. They'd kill joy of breeding for love.
Do you have any scratching posts for them? I recommend a large cat condo with sisal rope, and sprinkle some catnip (there is also a liquid spray) on it to entice them to scratch it. There is also a "no scratch" spray you can use on your carpet in addition to the post.
Animals, what animals? My children just have alot of hair!
Please do not tell me to buy a scratch pole, pad, toys, catnip, post, I have tried this and even washed my wood work with vinegar and bleach etc. I can't disapline with a spray bottle of water because I work all day and the cat is alone. I can't put any sticky stuff on the woodwork because the cat would only rub against it and then I'd have a hair problem sticking there. What can I do? I have to keep repairing all my door frames and I am tired of this. Help answer's only. Last I refuse to declaw and the cat is 10 years old. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120203002729AAKIhvK
My 7 weeks old kitten will only use the litter box a few times during the day. The other times she will use random corners through out the home. We have 2 litter boxes she has found 501-01 exam - testking.net and I clean it out twice a day. She seems to find her way around my apartment ok, just not when she has to potty.
