I was wondering if anyone on here had either of these, or even another brand of an ebook reader and could give me some input, pros or cons of either. I used to be a huge reader, I say used to be because with school I havent had time to read for enjoyment. But school is coming to an end so I will find myself back to reading alot again I am sure.
I was thinking of investing in something like this since I have no room anymore to store books. I am not a person who buys books and then when is done reading them, gives them away. I like my books and I keep them. I'm a little funny that way I guess lol but I just cannot part with them.
Both of them seem to have roughly the same features. Both can hold 1500 books which would be awesome. The Nook looks smaller than the Kindle though it weighs slightly more. I also noticed that the Nook is a touch screen vs the Kindle which has tons of buttons to navigate with. I noticed also some reviews of the Kindle mentioned slow page turning which was enhanced with the Kindle 2. It didn't mention how slow slow is but I was wondering if that is a major issue. Are they easy to hold while reading ? Does one have more features besides book reading that may enhance it's overall value ? How about the cost of ebooks? Are they any cheaper than buying a book in the store? Books are soo expensive nowadays that I won't buy hardcovers anymore. I wait until the book comes out in paperback. I was wondering if buying the books for one of these readers when they first come out would be cheaper than buying them in hardcover, eliminating me having to wait 6 more months for a book to come out.
It will be a bit before I buy one. Need to do some saving up but i would like to hear about them to decide whether or not they are worth the money. Any thoughts on the subject greatly appreciated !
You can also download books onto an IPad ? I wasn't aware of that. Do you know how many books an IPad can hold and whether the number of books varies depending on how much other stuff you have on it like music, videos, pictures and apps ?
Getting ready to purchase one. Was hoping for any last minute opinions. Pretty set on the nook from Barnes and Noble. Had a chance this past week to actually handle both of them so that helped. Both are on sale right now so I want to save myself some money and get one while they are $50 bucks cheaper. I just hope I don't miss the actual "feel" of a book in my hands.
