I think Snowball is around 9 or 10 weeks old now and I was wondering when I'm suppose to take Snowball for vaccinations.. Sorry, am I a little late for vaccinating her? I hope it's not too late. Sorry, I don't know much about this vaccinations but just few minutes ago, my neighbor asked me if I took Snowball for her shots(vaccinations) and I said "What shots?" and he said it's important for my dog and I don't know what he's talking about..? I mean I don't know which vaccination is for my dog? Sorry, again, dogs and cats have different vaccinations, no?
Snowball is old enough now for vaccinations. Usually they get their 1st one around 8 weeks of age. Here in the US the first vaccination they get is called a DHPP. It protects them against distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza. This vaccine is then redosed every 3-4 weeks until she is 16 weeks old. I would strongly advise against getting a Lepto vaccine as it generally does more harm than good for them. There are other vaccines we give here like Bordetella and Lymes but I don't know what they give where you are. The Rabies vaccine is generally not given until they are 6 months old. It is mandated by law that every dog gets a rabies shot here.
I took Snowball to the vet yesterday and the vet gave me some deworming tablets and the vet got Snowball her shots. She said I need to get Snowball fatter a bit because the vet could feel the ribs but not that much. But good news is.. vet said Snowball is really healthy despite the condition she was in. (I'm not sure if I'm talking broken English in my previous sentence.)
I know this is off-topic but is Snowball old enough to have her own crate or cage-like house thing?
