i have an 8 month olde english bulldogge. I took her to the vet this past weekend because she her one leg has seemed stiff for a couple of weeks off and on. One day it was fine, the next it wasnt. Anyways, the vet felt her around and said she has patella luxation. He didnt give me a grade or anything of it but fromt what i can read she probably have grade 2? it will go back into place on its own and if we pull her leg back and then push it back forward. she doesnt seem to be in any pain and it only happens sometime. Im thinking it was caused by trauma because it happened so all of a sudden. He parents do not have it and neither do any of her liter mates. I ordered her glucosamine with chondroitin & msm. Surgery or no surgery what do you all think? I am taking her to another vet for a second opinion. To me it is not affecting her quality of life, but i dont want it to get worse. so... Do you think its grade 2? Surgery or no? Hereditary or Trauma? Thank you so much! I just love her & want her to be fine.
Aw that's terrible! I don't think you'd have to change the diet, just make sure what you are feeding is complete and of high quality. Most grocery store dog foods are crap. Raw feeding is the best way to go, but there are some pretty good already prepared dog foods on the market. http://dietsinreview.net/hcg-ultra-lean-review/
